The two primary types of digital ad payment models include standard ads and pay-per-click ads. Standard ads are “pay to display” — i.e. if a user sees your ad content, you will pay a predetermined fee to the platform displaying the ad. Pay-per-click (PPC) ads only charge a fee when a user actually clicks on your ad. The most optimal choice of ad type will depend upon your specific goals and the platforms you want to be on.

How much does Google Adwords cost?

Because we require upfront research & strategy for all ad campaigns to make sure we’re creating the best strategy possible, there is an upfront cost which may or may not be higher than your planned ongoing investment. Upfront costs for discovery, research and strategy development start as low as $1.5K, depending upon the amount of research needed.

Once the campaign is underway, we charge a standard service fee of 15% with a $200 per month minimum. We have Adwords clients who are spending as low as $5/day and receiving results they are happy with, and we have clients who are spending hundreds of dollars per day. The ultimate spend will depend upon your specific goals and how competitive keywords are in your industry. With Google Adwords, you pay for clicks on your ad, not impressions.

What is the cost of Facebook ads?

Because we require upfront research & strategy for all ad campaigns to make sure we’re creating the best strategy possible, there is an upfront cost which may or may not be higher than your planned ongoing investment. Upfront costs for discovery, research and strategy development start as low as $1.5K, depending upon the amount of research needed.

For Facebook ads, the cost will vary based upon the audience you’re targeting and the goal that you have set on the ad – I.e., whether you’re seeking website conversions, video view, leads from a Facebook form, or engagement. We’ve run successful campaigns with a $50 budget and successful campaigns with a $100k budget – it all depends upon what you want to get out of it.

For small, one-off campaigns we will typically bill for our setup and reporting time. For ongoing campaigns, we charge a standard service fee of 15% with a $200 per month minimum.

What does influencer marketing cost?

Like other forms of advertisements, influencer marketing can vary significantly, based on a number of different factors, including:

  • The deliverables the influencer is providing: photos, videos, short or long form content, social shares, blog posts, etc.
  • The size of the influencer’s audience, including social subscribers, website traffic, and/or email newsletter subscribers.
  • How “in demand” the influencer is and the type of brands they typically work with – influencers who work with Fortune 500 companies are typically more expensive than those just getting started.
  • If you want to purchase the right to reuse or repost the content they are creating.

Some smaller influencers – often called “micro-influencers” – with just a couple of hundred or 1-3,000 followers may charge a very nominal fee for their work – something like $50. Some may even promote your company in exchange for a free product or service. Other more well-known influencers with an established audience and more polished portfolio of work will charge several thousand or tens of thousands for a single post or engagement.

After our initial discovery phase, we can provide you with a list of influencers that make sense for your brand and budget. We are happy to facilitate the conversations or you can reach out to them directly.

How is billing for ad campaigns handled?

Please note that before we initiate any ad campaigns, we require a discovery period or research project. This is necessary in order for us to provide you with a sound strategy which uses appropriate targeting for the right audience.
Fees for any upfront research & strategy are paid according to our standard terms, a flat “project-based” fee identified in advance, then billed 50% before initiation and 50% due after research is completed.

Once the campaign is underway, we require monthly automatic debits of the agreed upon amount via an active credit card or bank draft at the start of any month during which ads will run.

Am I locked into a lengthy contract?

No. As long as you are able to provide us with 30 days written notice, we can take your campaign offline and cancel automatic debits.

How can I see my results?

We strongly value transparency, and you will have the ability to view campaign results in real time through multiple different platforms, 24/7. We provide access to a 24/7 client dashboard, which will show you live campaign performance across a variety of channels, and you’ll always have the ability to log into the ads management platform through which your ads are being purchased and delivered.

In addition to our reports platform, our agreement can also include the creation of monthly or quarterly reports compared to prior periods, and we will schedule regular check-ins with you to discuss your campaign’s performance, at an interval that makes sense for your business and budget.

Do you guarantee results?

There are many factors that can impact the efficacy of conversions from ads, from landing page design and copy to the sales process that is in place within your business after a lead is generated. We will do our best to work with you to identify any possible holes prior to starting your ad campaign so that they may be addressed in a timely manner so you can get the best possible results from your ads.

Although we are confident in every deliverable we create, due to the nature of consumer markets and the number of variables in play at any given moment, we can not guarantee results regarding sales, leads or conversions.
