MBAmy’s: Employee Education Program
November 5th @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
– 6:15-6:30pm – Check-in and networking with other food brands
– 6:30-7:30pm – Presentation: MBAmy’s: Employee Education Program – Kara Marshall, Amy’s Ice Cream
THIS MONTH’S TOPIC:
MBAmy’s is a higher-level curriculum for all employees of Amy’s Ice Cream that is designed to go way beyond how to make and scoop ice cream — “the how.” This internal academic program is comprised of four separate courses that focus on developing higher-level, critical thinking skills in the individual — “the why.”
We know in a world powered by economic success sincere customer service can often become no more than a repetitive script. Amy’s Ice Cream believes that their customers have an outstanding service experience when employees understand the value the customer brings to the health of the business. Success is measured by more than the bottom line. At Amy’s, it is also measured by the smiles on their customers’ faces and the satisfaction of their employees from knowing how a business operates and believing that being an entrepreneur is a right we all possess.
Join us for a presentation from Kara Marshall on MBAmy’s, how they teach it to young people, and what it has done for Amy’s Ice Cream as a company.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Kara Marshall has been with Amy’s Ice Creams since 2010. She came into the organization as an ice cream scooper and was promoted through management. Kara began teaching with MBAmy’s in 2012. From there she went on to coach Amy’s employees on Customer Service, Open Book Management, and public speaking.
